Local employers will meet international students in Port Lincoln tonight, in an attempt to address the Eyre Peninsula’s skill shortages.
50 students and graduates from across the globe, with qualifications in health, agribusiness and IT, will be introduced to locals at the city’s Yacht Club tonight, as part of a careers tour.
Research from Study Adelaide has found approximately 68 per cent of international students would like to live and work in SA after completing their studies, with half willing to explore a move to regional SA.
CEO of the local RDA, Ryan Viney says by partnering with Study Adelaide and local councils, they can provide students with information about the career and lifestyle opportunities the region offers, which will hopefully lead them to consider working and living here permanently.
