Port Lincoln’s Boston Bay Wines has been acquired by Barristers Block, with the company reporting long-term plans are already in the pipeline.
The Adelaide Hills-based company said in a statement the purchase of the Eyre Peninsula winery, six kilometres outside of Port Lincoln, was a strategic investment to secure a site in a region that is primed for growth and not saturated.
The acquisition of the winery, established by Graham and Mary Ford in the 1980’s, took 18 months and settled on Monday.
The company says short term plans include a cellar door renovation, brand refresh and plans to elevate the current food offerings, and long term plans include building premium accommodation and developing the portfolio of wine.
They say they’re looking forward to bringing the hospitality of the Adelaide Hills to the people of Port Lincoln.
