Port Lincoln represented in championships across SA last weekend

While Port Lincoln hosted the Mortlock Shield, Yacht Regatta and a Gymnastics competition over the weekend, the Eyre Peninsula was also represented in several sporting carnivals across the state.

The Port Lincoln Soccer Association sent five junior teams to the state championships in Adelaide, with the under 16 Girls team crowned champions of SA.

Also in Adelaide, the Netball SA Country Championships were played, with Great Flinders winning the under 13s Division 2 title while Western Eyre were runners-up in the Seniors Pool B.

In Port Pirie, Port Lincoln Hockey Association players competed for Country West in the North West Rangers Regional Championships, with the under 15 and under 17 Boys teams emerging victorious.
