The Eyre Peninsula’s Louth Island is set to become home to South Australia’s first luxury private island resort.
Rumi on Louth will be unveiled in two parts.
Firstly, Rumi Reveal – offering immersive experiences and limited luxury accommodation packages as a nod to the future.
Secondly, the opening, slated for 2025.
Rumi on Louth resort manager Jane Kelly says they have a lot to offer.
“Rumi will encompass 27 villas, a second restaurant, walking trails, yoga meditation platforms, observatories, and lots more experiences,” Ms Kelly says.
She also emphasised the team’s sustainability efforts, saying they’re 100 per cent off-grid.
“It feels so great to turn a light switch on and know that you’re not doing anything or causing any issues.
“We’ve also got a desal plant, we’ll be operating composting systems, we’ve got wastewater management systems so that everything’s being put back into the irrigation to help with the restoration of the island.”
