The Cummins Men’s Shed will receive funding for a new bandsaw to help them create 50 nesting boxes for vulnerable species.
The funding comes from Australia Post’s ‘People of Post‘ grants, which has funded more than 150 grassroots community and not-for-profit groups across the country this year,
Australia Post team members nominate local not-for-profit community initiatives that support some of Australia’s most pressing social issues, including mental health, disaster support, Indigenous children’s learning, and environment and sustainability.
Some of the species that will benefit from the Men’s Shed project include the Western Pygmy Possum, Tawny Frogmouth Owl, Owlet Nightjar, and Spotted Pardalote.
