Pilots across the Eyre Peninsula are invited to participate in an upcoming pilot safety seminar called ‘Fuel for Thought’.
Aviation Safety Advisor Terry Horsam from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority says it’s a national program dedicated to ensuring pilots make the right decisions in the air.
“It’s a great opportunity for pilots on the Eyre Peninsula to catch up with regulator and other local pilots to discuss the rules and also the issues that affect them, Horsam says.
“This is where we use case studies where fuel issues have been encountered by other pilots.”
Horsam says the pilots in Port Lincoln are a good bunch.
“We deliver these presentations throughout Australia in as many locations as we can, and I’m part of a team that covers the whole of Australia, but we keep coming back to Port Lincoln because we know how conscientious the pilots are here.”
The seminar will run on Friday, 24 May from 6:30-8:30pm at the Port Lincoln Flying Club.
