The culprit behind a lengthy power outage in Whyalla has been arrested and charged.
Around 6:30 pm on Monday, 17 June, police were called to Broadbent Terrace after reports a car had crashed into a stobie pole, and the driver had fled the scene.
The 27-year-old owner of the car was found at a house in Whyalla Jenkins, where he was breath tested and returned a positive result of 0.097.

He’s lost his licence for six months and is facing charges including aggravated driving without due care, drink driving, and driving an unregistered vehicle.
