A new Memorandum of Understanding has been signed to test hypersonic vehicles in the region.
Southern Launch is teaming up with QLD’s Hypersonix Launch Systems to create a cutting-edge hypersonic test bed service.

Together, they’ll work on launching and recovering test vehicles from either the Koonibba or Whalers Way spaceports, with a launch target set for late 2025.
We’re told, hypersonic aircraft, capable of flying at speeds over five times the speed of sound, could cut flight time from Adelaide to London to just two hours!
