The Kimba District Council is facing a setback after the Department for Infrastructure and Transport denied their request for funding to reseal Railway Terrace.
At a recent council meeting, infrastructure manager Michael Inglis, expressed his disappointment, noting the section from South Terrace to Kimba Terrace is vital for over-sized vehicles.
The council now has two options: they can either cover the full cost of a 14mm reseal to maintain the route or opt for a reduced 10mm reseal, which may lead to the eventual closure for over-sized vehicles.
