Thousands will be spent on carparking, streetscape improvements and a review of local childcare services in the City of Port Lincoln’s draft business plan and budget for the next financial year.
$40 million will be spent over 2023/24, including providing $675,000 towards upgraded change facilities at the Ravendale Sporting Complex, $300,000 on additional CBD carparks and $15,000 on developing a Youth Action Strategy.
To fund this, council is proposing a 9.5 per cent increase in general rate revenue, meaning ratepayers will pay up to $35 extra per quarter.
Feedback on the plan can be provided until June 9th through the YourSay website.
