World Environment Day to be celebrated at Greenly Beach

Going into its seventh year, Greenly Planting Day is coming up on Sunday, June 4.

The event is running from 10-3, and there are almost 2,000 seedlings to plant – the event’s most ambitious target yet.

There will be a barbeque lunch fundraiser for Lake Wangary School, and organisers say it’s a great day out and a great way to care for our coastline.

Participants are encouraged to bring along gloves, buckets, hammers, and shovels.
