Fears for the state’s biodiversity and native vegetation are mounting as SA heads towards 100 per cent net renewable energy by 2030.
A group of environmental organisations including Conservation Council SA, Trees for Life, Landcare SA, and Greening Australia make up the SA Nature Alliance, and have warned of risks posed by renewable projects.
In a submission to the State Government, the Alliance has called for maps to be created to identify ‘no-go zones’ where renewable projects would be ruled out.

The proposal if approved would fall under the Hydrogen and Renewable Energy Act.
