A man has died after after he failed to return from a fishing trip in Elliston over the weekend.
Police were alerted to an overdue boat and fisherman who was last seen launching from the Anxious Bay boat ramp around 1:15pm on Saturday.
Locals raised concern when he didn’t return.

A search was conducted, however the 77-year-old man was later found deceased in the water.
It is understood the fisherman was checking cray pots.
Police are now preparing a report for the Coroner.
