Grants Could Expand GP Clinic Patient Access

Local GP clinics may soon be able to expand patient access, in what could lead to greater health outcomes.

The Rural Doctors Association welcomed the $220 million in grants to assist GP clinics, including the provision to enhance digital health, upgrade infection control and funding to maintain and achieve accreditation.

RDAA President, Dr Megan Belot, said that this support for general practice was most needed across rural Australia.

The grants will scale from $25,000 to $50,000 depending on the size of the practice.
