South Australia is ensuring its over 48,000 veterans are well looked after, with the Veteran Wellbeing Action Plan revealed yesterday.
The plan’s three core goals include improving healthcare access, supporting overall wellbeing and refining health data for the future.
The plan introduces Veteran Health and Mental Health Pathways to streamline care access – connecting veterans and families to existing services.
Minister for Veterans Affairs MP Geoff Brock says it’s the government’s responsibility.
“It is our duty to care for the people who serve our nation and to ensure they receive the best care throughout any health and wellbeing challenge they may face after their service,” Minister Brock says.
