Last hurdle Cleared For Southern Launch

As many as 42 rockets a year could soon be launching from the newly approved Whalers Way Orbital Launch Complex.

Southern Launch has received the green light from the state government, with planning approval now in place.

The state decision comes on the heels of Federal Environment Minister, Tanya Plibersek’s endorsement just last week, paving the way for a significant boost to the region’s aerospace industry.

The first rockets are expected to lift off late next year.
