A man has been arrested after two police officers were allegedly assaulted in Whyalla Stuart last night.
Police responded to reports of a disturbance just before 7pm, where they found a man who was wanted for outstanding matters.
He tried to barricade himself inside a room in an attempt to avoid arrest.
It is understood the man resisted violently and assaulted two police officers.
One officer was bitten in the alleged altercation, while another one was kicked.
A group of occupants inside the home also hindered and assaulted officers as they attempted to arrest the man.
The 32-year-old man was tasered and arrested.
He has been taken to hospital where he will require a medical assessment before being charged.
One officer was also taken to hospital and treated for their injuries.
Investigations are continuing.
