A draft business plan and budget has been launched by the District Council of Tumby Bay for the next financial year.
Millions will be spent on a number of local projects, including $2.9 million for transport works such as maintaining the Tumby Bay airstrip, roads, footpaths and the boat ramp.
$2.23 million will go towards housing and community projects, including street lighting, cemeteries and urban stormwater, whilst $1.2 million will go towards recreation and culture projects such as parks, playgrounds and sporting facilities.
To fund the plan, the council is proposing a general rate increase of 11.5 per cent.
