One of the biggest events on the Eyre Peninsula calendar kicks off tomorrow, with two massive days of footy at Centenary Oval this weekend.
Mortlock Shield kicks off at 11am tomorrow, 8 June, with five teams to battle for top spot on the ladder.
Eastern Eyre, Western Eyre, Lincoln Districts, Lincoln City, and Great Flinders will play on Saturday and Monday.
Rebecca Plane from the Mortlock Shield Committee says it’s a collection of the highest leagues you can get on the EP, and there’s some special guests this year.
“We’re lucky enough this year to have the likes of Erin Phillips and her father Greg Phillips attend the Mortlock Shield weekend in 2024, Plane says.
“Amazing to have them on board, they’re such a talented family.”
