Port Lincoln’s Puckridge Place dog park is open to the public ahead of its official opening in February.
Port Lincoln Mayor Diana Mislov says it’s been in talks for many years.
“Nelson Square was put up as a potential space for the dog park, but community consultation sort of objected to that for various reasons, Mayor Mislov says.
“Puckridge Place, which is near Windsor Avenue – that’s the park now – became a really good solution.”
The Council encourages all dog owners to check out the new space.
“It’s a great space for people to come with their furry family members.
“It has brought some vibrancy to an under-utilised area of council property and turned it into a beautiful green space.”
