Dylan Cowley from West Coast Youth and Community Support is raising money for the organisation’s Homelessness Support Program.
He’s dubbed the fundraiser “Hairless 4 Homeless”.
“I work at the front desk, so I literally see everybody that comes through, and there are so many different people from so many different walks of life that are all having such a tough time at the moment, Mr Cowely says.
“When you are funded by different bodies, funding is few and far between, so I thought that while I’m growing out my hair, I might as well put it to a good cause.”
The amount of money raised will determine the amount of hair Mr Cowley will shave.
“From the beard, to my feet and toes, my armpits, might get my chest waxed, but the ultimate goal being to shave my eyebrows.”
There will be posters popping up around town soon with QR codes to a GoFundMe page.
