Regional aviation supported by government funding

A slice of $150,000 is up for grabs for local airports as part of a funding program supporting regional airport infrastructure across SA.

Run by the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, the South Australian Regional Aviation Program is now in its ninth year.

Local airports that benefitted from last year’s round of funding include Ceduna Aerodrome, Wudinna Aerodrome and Port Lincoln Airport.

Projects for the 2024-25 round of funding could include sealing or resealing of runways, upgrades to fencing, installation of lighting, and extending and improving terminal facilities.

Applications close at the end of business today.
