Shadow Minister for Regional Roads Adrian Pederick is disappointed in the State Budget, saying the lack of investment in regional roads is shocking given the amount of lives lost on them this year.
The budget included a $98 million Road Safety Package, with $10 million dedicated to regional road safety treatments over four years.
Minister Pederick says the budget doesn’t provide new money to tackle the $3 billion road maintenance backlog, let alone money for new upgrades on any regional road.
