Regional schools to benefit from Government investment

More than 120 schools across South Australia will benefit from the latest round of the Federal Government’s Schools Upgrade Fund.

Over half of the school’s receiving funding across Australia are in regional or remote areas with a $3 million investment across 124 schools entering SA.

The money will allow schools to do a variety of things including improving outdoor learning areas, air conditioning and laptops.

All schools across the country were invited to apply for the funding and projects were assessed by the Department of Education and selected based on need.

SA Minister for Education, Training and Skills Blair Boyer says these projects are desperately needed in schools across the state with a lot of them advocated for by the students themselves.
