Grain Producers SA is calling on the State Government to invest in the multi-billion-dollar grains industry ahead of the 2024-25 State Budget.
Key items on their wish list include investment in managing spray drift, education on the Grain Harvest Code of Practice, regional road funding, and an update of the Grain Industry Blueprint.
GPSA CEO Brad Perry says investment into the grains industry is vital to the state’s economy.
“As a predominantly exporting industry, for the South Australian grain sector to remain globally competitive and sustainably grow, we need continuous government support in areas like infrastructure, biosecurity, and research and development,” Perry says.
