The MFS reported the fire just before 6pm, near the intersections of Happy Valley Road, Valley View Road, and Shane Street.
Smoke was seen drifting east towards the Lincoln Highway.

Fortunately, fire crews managed to contain the blaze to just one acre, with no homes affected.
The two suspects, aged 13 and 16, were found nearby and arrested.
They’re now facing court on bushfire charges.
