Uni Hub Spencer Gulf is expanding its horizons and collaborating with Wudinna District Council to bring its services to the region.

Uni Hub CEO Anita Kuss says they’ll improve local access to tertiary studies.

“We’ve got an outreach service being provided to the Wudinna Council area commencing in August, and Uni Hub staff in Port Lincoln will be visiting Wudinna a day a month and will be based at the Education Precinct around the TAFE and the Wudinna Area School,” Ms Kuss says.

The organisation has partnered with multiple universities to deliver courses so students don’t need to travel to the metro.

“We know that can as much as double the cost of a degree when people have to move to the city to university, so we’re really excited about the opportunity to provide Wudinna residents with the opportunity to study at home.”

These opportunities were made possible by the support of the local council.

“We were approached by the Wudinna Council around 12 months ago, and that’s really important because Uni Hub only goes into communities where there is really strong support and a partnership arrangement with the local council.”
