There’s good news for local Eyre Peninsula farmers, with new figures revealing the value of farmland in South Australia continued to grow last year.
The median price has increased 23% to just over $7,300 per hectare.
Across the country, a total of 8.8 million hectares of farmland was traded across the country with a combined value of $11.7 billion.

Head of Agribusiness Development at Rural Bank, Andrew Smith, says the impressive figures highlight the strength of Australian farmland as an emerging asset class.
