Mistaken for Earth’s leader, young Elio embarks on an extraordinary journey, forging connections with quirky alien species, confronting a galaxy-wide crisis, and uncovering his true purpose and place in the universe.
The stellar voice cast features Yonas Kibreab as Elio, Zoe Saldaña as Olga, Elio’s aunt, Jameela Jamil as Ambassador Questa, Remy Edgerly as Glordon, Brad Garrett as Lord Grigon, and Shirley Henderson as the enigmatic OOOOO.
The film is directed by an impressive trio of Madeline Sharafian (“Burrow”), Domee Shi (“Turning Red”), and Adrian Molina (“Coco”) with Mary Alice Drumm serving as producer. Initially slated for early 2024, “Elio” experienced delays due to industry strikes but is now set to debut in U.S. theaters on June 20th, with an international release shortly thereafter.
